How old is Pat McMahon?

By the looks of this picture taken last December, he's not much older than he was when he first came out to Arizona. During my time at the Arizona State Fair booth this past October, I met thousands of Wallace & Ladmo fans. Each one, their number one question was "Do you have any Ladmo Bags to give away?" and the second most popular question was, " How old is that Pat McMahon?"

It is only fitting that we address that question today. Because it was this very day that Jack and Adelaide McMahon welcomed their child in to the world.

So, how old is Pat McMahon?

If you ask Wallace, he'll tell you that Pat is exactly 7 years older than Ladmo.

Don't ask Wallace!!!

If you ask Pat's producer, Laura Holka, at AZ TV. Her eyes will get really big and she will on that rare occasion, be at a loss for words. There is also no luck asking Rosemary Scarfo, Pat's producer for his KTAR radio show!  It seems that Pat's inner circle of confidants are holding the secret secure.

Lucky for Pat, math was not emphasized on the Wallace & Ladmo show. All the fans have tried to do the math, but these days fuzzy math just doesn't cut it. No one is dropping any hints to the number of years Pat has been amongst the living. The hints Pat has dropped vary in extremes. One day on the Pat McMahon show, he mentioned his days in high school with Carl T Hayden.

That punch line would put Pat at the ripe age of 128.

Don't worry Pat, we all know that you aren't 128!!!

BUT WE STILL DON'T KNOW HOW OLD PAT IS!!!!

Before my interview with Pat, one of our founding fan club members (Kelmo) wanted to know! So, I brought Kelly's question with me to the interview. When the moment came and I asked Pat, "How old are you?"

His eyes flashed, it reminded me of the gasp Gerald gave when the kids would boo at him and take Ladmo's side.

"Oh, now... alright! Who wants to know? And who cares?"

Kelly wants to know, and EVERYONE cares Pat!!!

"Kelly has been a trouble maker for as long as I have known her! Kelly probably has some kind of deal with my doctor. She probably only wants to know if there have been any unholy injections made by night to keep me as young and vital as I am!"

Pat's tone changed to a serious tone. 

"No, you know what? You know, the only reason that I have never revealed my age, and it is so simple. It's because when you do something as broadly public as I do, I'm talking about particularly now. Because no one cared (about age) during the Wallace & Ladmo show. If you say, you know who Duke Ellington was, and you know anything about the Big Band Era, then there is an enormous raft of people who are saying, well he can't possibly relate to ME. But if I say, I know Green Day songs, or I know who Coldplay is... or that I am extremely excited about Gwen Stefani coming to town. Particularly because of the little Japanese girls dancing behind her. I've always been fascinated by Kabuki Theatre. BUT if you say that, then you've lost the Duke Ellington crowd! People really make generalities like that! Oh well, if you're this old, then you don't know anything about what I'm interested in!!! But the reality is, I do! So Kelly," (Pat makes audible noise with his tounge and mouth, same one Gerald used to fire off to the kids)

"And that's spelled braaaaaaach."

Well, it seems he is not telling. But you know what fans. I found out his age. I know to the day... exactly how old Pat McMahon is.

He is exactly....

 Not a day past timeless!
