This bit (written, I believe, by Craig Dingle—although he says he doesn’t remember it) follows an appearance on the show by some juggling circus clowns.  It’s a fun little piece where once again Marshall Good liberates five dollars from easy mark, Ladmo

I wonder how much it would amount to if we added up all the cash mooched by Marshall Good over the entire course of the show.  It would probably be substantial as his frequent attempts were often successful.  There was one time in particular, however, when all he got for his efforts was the bum’s rush.  When I was a kid, my best friend was made a joke winner and I accompanied him to the station then located in the old Westward Ho building on Central in Phoenix.  Even though I wasn’t a winner, I got to join my buddy on the set as he received his Ladmo BagMarshall Good entered to do a bit with Wall and before leaving, tried to get me to lend him five bucks.  Ever since, guilt has plagued my mind as I’ve often wondered if a bill from me then could have been the impetus for turning his life around.  Probably not, but it’s tough to ignore that nagging, “what if…"
